Day 6: 3-26-19

Hi to all of the everybodys and nobodys of the world. I kind of don't want to explain another poem, but since I never plan out what I'm going to write, we'll see. Something I am going to do today is share my idiot of a friend, Derick's, list of music. I literally just went to YouTube and heard all of them, so tell me what you think.

“The Days” by Avicii

“Today is Yesterday’s Tomorrow” by Michael Bublé
“Ends of the Earth” by Lord Huron
“Fly Me To The Moon” by Frank Sinatra

My absolute favorite in this list is "The Days" by Avicii. I liked all of the songs, but my least favorite is definitely "Ends of the Earth" by Lord Huron. That leaves me with Bublé's song and Sinatra's song. Second places gooooooooes tooooooooo "Fly Me to the Moon" by Frank Sinatra.

This blog is getting so boring without the tea.. Please forgive me for a few more days. . Okay, well since I have nothing else to write about I guess I'll have to move onto poetry.

I'm choosing to do this one today because I feel like the other one is pretty self explanatory. Basically unless I post anymore poetry there aren't going to be anymore cheesy talks like this. Even though I don't want to lets dive in. Both the people in this poem are portrayed as negative in the beginning until Eric Hanson (e.h.) explains a little bit of their story. The girl was honest, yet nobody listened to her no matter how hard she tried to get their attention. That's when she started twisting her truths, so that at least one person could turn around and look at her. The boy hid all his pains and wounds with his armor. The point was that his armor was made of bad things, so nobody would notice the vulnerable side of him. The side that people could use to hurt him. Maybe he was just tired from all the pain that he had been through. Even though they weren't in a place filled with people that think the same way, their "I'm Fine" still sounded the same even when it wasn't true.

From this poem I've gathered that if people just cared a little bit more, listened a little bit more, and helped a little bit more then maybe situations like this could be avoided. Maybe people could feel loved and wanted, but now days everybody's running around in their own little world that they don't see these hands reaching out for guidance and acknowledgement of their existence. Even I have fallen into this circle of limited vision.

You know when I actually read this poem I never realized any of this. Eric Hanson may have not meant any of that, but I'm still very thankful for this blog for opening my eyes a little bit. Through writing I have discovered so many colors that I was blind to before.

Something I love to do is write poetry, but I don't think any of my works are this enlightening. A few people think that its trash, but that's their opinion. Yes, it does affect or effect  my confidence, but that's something I can build back up. Wow, I'm getting off topic, so I think I'll wrap things up now. I'm going to leave you with a few things to (verb).

I'm confuzzled now.
